BALKANFILA 2010 - At Plovdiv
- The Union of the Bulgarian Philatelists will fight again with the world economical crises …with preparations for a big new exhibition this year – late in October 2010 in one of the best halls in the International Fair Plovdiv the philately exhibition BALKANFILA 2010 will take place.
- Other Federations has declined his rights for organizing this traditional philatelic forum, so the president of UBF Mr. Spas Panchev offers the baton to be taken by Bulgaria. Thus, for forth time we will be organizers of the biggest philatelic exhibition in The Balkan Peninsula.
- But this time there will be no rush for a maximal number of exhibits and frames – each country will be allowed up to 25 frames in the following competitive classes: Postal history, Maximaphilie, One frame, Open class and Literature. Presenting exhibits in Literature class is without limit.
- The traditional philately will be presented in a special honorable class, named “Balkan philatelic pearls”. In this class each country can present one exhibit, awarded at a World Philatelic Exhibition with LG or G medal.
- There will be something new for this event – in the same hall for the first time the Balkan Collector’s Fair will be held in Bulgaria – with participation of companies and individual dealers, offering goods for leisure and hobby.
- For such events it is usual, and BALKANFILA 2010 will be no exception, interesting postal-philatelic materials to be shown, as well as competitions, a rich supporting program, competitions for kids and students to be held, and of course…there will be surprises
